Remain in light
Raising the blinds did little to lighten the colorless interior. The lack of a sudden intruding brightness to drench the sparsely yet tastefully furnished room was expected, but he had still hoped that the pale outside would highlight some of its finer details. The shroud of mist had been out there for so long that he wondered if it was still considered to be lingering. Time had subdued the dread it originally instilled, but the sensation now reemerged. He tried focusing on the discussion he was having with X. He considered rekindling the conversation with a joke, but "Did I not let enough light in?" seemedinappropriately grim.
– I adored those growing up. She nodded in the direction of the pair of lounge chairs he had worked so hard to get hold of and realized that he couldn't repeat his usual tale about the rarity of these items and the hardships in his quest to acquire them. His gaze searched the room in despair for a new conversation piece, as the voice of the late, great FrankO streamed through the speaker system:
"The
rings all ringed out
Burn
out, cave in
Blackened
to dark out
I'm
mixed now, fleshed out
There's
light with no heat
We
cooled out, it's cool out
Life
is precious
We
found out, we found out
We
found out"
