Anine Aasen, Per-Erik Larsen og Susanna Antonsson
Unge inviterte 2025
The exhibition opens on Thursday, January 9, 6-8PM.
LNM has invited artists Anine Aasen, Susanna Antonsson, and Per-Erik Larsen to exhibit at this year’s edition of Unge inviterte. It has become a tradition for LNM to kick off the new year with Unge inviterte; this exhibition series not only gives recent graduates the opportunity to present themselves on the Oslo art scene, but it also offers the audience a glimpse into what is happening on the up-and-coming art scene.
Unge inviterte is an exhibition that invites three artists who completed their formal art education in the previous year. For 2025, LNM has chosen to invite three artists who graduated from the Academy in Bergen, KMD at UiB.

Anine Aasen (b. 1992, Oslo) primarily paints interiors and still lifes, combining patterns from various textiles, Japanese woodcuts, decorations on a cup or lampshade, a book that has had special significance to her, all nestled among her free and painterly gestures. She refers to these works as Quodlibet, a term most commonly used in music, where different melodic fragments are combined, but it can also mean something assembled randomly, at someone's discretion. Aasen completed her Master's and Bachelor's degrees at the Bergen Academy of Art and Design (KMD), and has exhibited at venues such as Bergen Kunsthall (2024), Høyersten Contemporary (Bergen, 2024), ASPN (Leipzig, 2023), Stockholm Furniture Fair (2023), Kiosken Studio (Bergen, 2022), Tag Team (Bergen, 2022), and Not Quite (Fengersfors, 2022).
Susanna Antonsson’s (b. 1991, Linköping, Sweden) paintings focus on small and simplified motifs, with a gaze often so close to the subject that the works can appear almost entirely abstract. She works with acrylic paint diluted with water, which causes the paint to lose its typically glossy surface. This also gives her time to process the medium and play with varying translucencies of the paint, which creates life in the surface. Antonsson works with repetition, repeating the same motif many times, each time with slight variations. She works through the motifs, exploring how much or how little needs to be done for a painting to succeed. Antonsson holds a Master's degree from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design (KMD) and has previously exhibited at venues such as Hordaland Kunstsenter (2024), Kristiansand Kunsthall (2024), Galleri Knipsu (2023), and Tag Team Studio (2022).
Per-Erik Larsen (b. 1985, Larvik) largely works with material exploration, layering over layers. He initially applies textile dyes to cotton or linen canvas, but often adds layers of pastel, acrylic, or lithography and exploits the texture of the canvas when applying subsequent layers of painting or drawing mediums. At the same time, he experiments with sculptural elements made from a mixture of industrial acrylic paint, shredded paper, and salt. From this, he creates frames and structures that he integrates with the paintings. Larsen holds a Master's degree from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design, KMD UiB, as well as a Bachelor's degree from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He has exhibited at venues such as Hordaland Kunstsenter (2021) and Galleri Knipsu (2021), and participated in the Høstutstillingen (2019) and Østlandsutstillingen (2022).
