Painters in dialogue: Contemporary Murals
Painters in dialogue: Contemporary Murals

Painters in dialogue invites two artists working with painting to each show one artwork. These works are the starting point for open conversation between the artists and attendees. This is the first event in a series of three this autumn.

LNM Forum: Painters in Dialogue
Contemporary Murals with Ebba Bring and Lars Breuer

Wednesday, October 19th 2022, 17.30 – 19.00

Mural (painting on walls) is the origin of painting, with the earliest cave paintings dating back to 50-30,000 BC. Contemporary Murals brings together two artists who take very different approaches to mural painting, Ebba Bring (NO) and Lars Breuer (DE). They will explore differences and overlaps in their thinking and processes. It will ask questions such as: How do they approach site specificity? How do they balance concept and materiality? Who do they imagine their audience to be and what response are they hoping for?

The evening will begin with time to look at the works on show and mingle, before sitting down for discussion.

The conversation is held in English and free to attend.
